Eyeshadows
Using eyeliner and eye pencils can highlight the sparkle in your eyes.
It is fun to experiment with eyeshadows, eyeliners, pencils, paints, and powders –but most women just want to know what is right for them.
Choosing your eyeshadows to match your lifestyle is a smart idea.
Makeup Tips
There are so many makeup tips as to how to use your eyeshadows.
Be careful with your colors, although you may think blue eyeshadow will bring out the blue in your eyes, many shades of blue will actually have the opposite effect.
Also keep in mind that too much added color distracts from your eyes, even if it matches your eye color.
Neutral eyeshadows are the best to use on your eyes all year around, because they blend naturally and compliment your skin tone.
Soft colors found in skin, like: browns, vanillas, mauves, or beiges make the perfect neutral eyeshadow.
For a sexy variation on neutral, try using colors that match the subtle undertones of your skin, like: gold, olive, pale purple, blue, and gray.
All types of neutral eyeshadows are easy to work with.
Techniques
A few simple techniques using paints, powders, or an eye pencil can affect the look and shape of your eyes.
To make your eyes look closer together apply a light or medium neutral shade of eyeshadow on the inner corner of your eyelids.
Or, use an eye pencil to draw a line with a thick accent on the inner corner of the eye. Don’t allow the pencil line to pass the outer corner of the eye.
Using eyeshadow to make your eyes look farther apart is harder to master.
Application begins with a darker matte shade, which should be stroked outward and upward on the outer corners of the top and bottom lids.
Make it slightly thicker toward the outer edge and extend it in a slightly upward curve.
Fun Styles
There are many forms of eyeshadows to choose from, including:
- creams;
- pencils;
- powders.
Although creams look beautiful, they are the hardest to control because they slip into the creases on your lids.
Eye pencils are a fun idea with many colors to experiment with. The only downside to eye pencils is there harsher look, and the abrasive feeling left on your eyes.
Powder is great form of eyeshadow because it often makes the eyes look softer, more natural. You can use eye powder in either wet or dry forms.
Take care of your beautiful eyes, try out different shades of eyeshadows and practice some of the techniques.
